My time at Girls High!!!!!
I have had a lot of fun during my time at Girls' High so far. I enjoyed the fun and exciting experiences that I did at Girls High like making new friends, giving everything a go and I am thankful that my parents chose Girls' High school for me. I have had no difficulties in any of my lessons yet and I feel great. I think Esol class is great fun because I can meet new international students and learn many new things.

My first week
When I first attended NPGHS, I was feeling a bit odd, but I made some new friends so they showed me around all over school and my nerves were settling down a bit.
I really like NPGHS, but my hardest thing is learning English, it was the hardest thing ever, but I am really trying to improve my english.

My new school
This is my second week in new school. I am used to all here. On Monday to Friday was a busy and again happy course. In the morning tea and in the noon lunch the room was full of talking. And on occasion I may study the elder sisters's discussion about classroom and affairs in school. In the weekend I was with some Korean friends to go to beach or swimming pool. It is so funny. And sometime we go to the town, to go shopping. I have lots of friends at NPGHS, some Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. My best friend is in my roommate Lunar, another roommate Anna and May, and a chinese girl in school, her name is Ivy. Before her brother and my brother were friends in Boys' High school. I think my new life is so pretty.

My new school
My new school I feel it is so interesting. And, I'm very tired because it's only English. Everyone speaks English too fast for me. Everyday, I'm confused... :( I will get better soon :)

My new school
I like NPGHS because, everyone is very kind, but I can't understand English very well and I can't speak English very well. I'm always mixed up. I want to speak English very well soon.

This is my first week at school. I feel very good. First I met my teachers, they're all very friendly and nice, and I took a walk around the school, the school is very big and beautiful, and I think the pool is really nice. The class is a little difficult for me, especially the English class, but the teachers are all patient and help me a lot. And I have some new friends, some Chinese, and some kiwi friends.
My holiday in Korea

Last December, I went back to Korea for my summer holiday. It was summer here but in Korea it was the middle of a cold winter. So I felt really cold when I arrived in Korea. However, I met my Mom and my family and I started to meet my friends again. I really enjoyed my holiday. I watched some movies, nolaebang(karaoke), went to town for shopping, took sticker pictures, visited cafes, had lunch or dinner with my friends and played in their home or in my house. I had lot's and lot's of fun there so it was hard to leave. Now I'm really looking foward to going back to Korea next time.

ESOL 2010

ESOL 2010
The highlight for me this year was when I started learning an instrument.
The challenges for me this year was my English's Formal Writing.
I enjoy ESOL because it is easy and there is no extra-hard work for me to do.
I found it useful because I get to know people from different classes.
The friends I made were all have different personalities.
Their names were Dolly, Lunar, Euniece, Melissa, Anna, Victoria, Bridget, Amy, Riley...
The best thing about NZ is that I got to know a different country.
The most importat thing I learnt was life at NPGHS is better than last year.
The thing I will remember most about this Year in NZ is all the happy memories I have.
I am looking forward to my holiday in NP.

Esol 2010

The highlights for me this year in Esol were meeting most of the international students. when we had international lunch time. Most of year 9 Esol student brought their own country's traditional food. I couldn't bring my food because I live in hostel and I don't know how to cook them... hahaha so I really enjoyed the lunch. They all tasted good.
The challenge of this year for me was learning English and being used to living in New Zealand. It's still hard for me to use English, but I'll learn more and improve my skills.
I enjoyed Esol beause I had lot's of fun in this class and I like to see other Esol classmates. They were sll so funny and nice. my classmates are Dolly, Bying Ying and Euniece. I hope I could see them next year in year10 esol class.
I found Esol class useful because, my Esol class teacher Mrs.Kindler taught me lot's of English words and grammer. She also helped me when I need help in my other subjects homework. So I would like to say thank you to her.
The friends I made in New Zealand were Halam, Jiwom, Yejeong ,Anna, Amy, Jaslene, Bamboo, Eunice, Dolly, and Bying Ying.
Most of friends have left New Plimouth. Because they graduated from the school. And most of them are international students.
The best thing about hostel is, water is free, you can have quite a nice dinner and breakfast, and make good friendships with other hostel girls.
The thing I will remenber this year is coming to Nz and meeting all good people.
And at last, I'm really looking forward to go back to Korea for summer holiday~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lunar Yr 9
Euniece's year in N.P.G.H.S 2010

The highlights for me this year were when my school report seemed so good and I have many friends in my new school (npghs) I really like being in this school. My challenges for me this year were I needed to relate to some of my classmates and to be familiar in the school. It was really hard because I'm from a different country and it's kinda awkward to introduce myself to them. I enjoyed ESOL because I made new friends I found it useful because I relate to some of my friends and I learned to love them. The friends I made were so amazing loving caring and so understanding their names are " Aira, Dolly, Lunar, Bing Ying". The best thing about being in New Zealand with my family are being so desciplined and very happy. The most important thing I learnt was to relate with other people from different countries. The thing I will remember most about this year in N.Z is to enjoy the environment . I am looking forward to have a great, peaceful and happy life in New Zealand.

My thoughts about NPGHS 2010
The highlights for me this year were I have improved in a lot of things. The challenges for me this year were looking after myself and staying without my family. I enjoyed Esol because it's not a hard subject. I found it useful because I'm an international girl so, I need to improve my accent. The friends I made were nice, smiley, cheerful, and helpful. Finally they were very friendly. friendly. Their names were Linh, Vicky, Roman, Fotu and Debbie. The best thing about my hostel experience was I did everything by my own[ sometimes for kiwi girls as well. ] and started eating vegetables. The most important thing I learnt was " Live and Learn about my life ". The thing I will remember most about this year in NZ is every suggestion or advice I have been given. I'm looking forward to seeing all my Japanese friends again when I go to Japan soon.

International Student Leavers
We sadly say farewell to 11 International students (pictured here with our principal) at the end of term 4, 2010. At our farewell function students performed dances, gave slideshow presentations and told us how much they had enjoyed their time here with us. There were a few tears.
We loved sharing our beautiful country with you all. We hope you keep in touch by using the 'Past Students' place on the blog to post pictures and stories about what you are up to back home. All the best :)
