Multi Ethnic Extravaganza Parade
It was raining on Saturday but the parade was still great fun. Everyone looked amazing. We walked up Devon Street waving our flags and smiling at the crowd. Well done everybody! Have a look at some of the students' costumes. Don't they look beautiful?

Mini Multi Ethnic Parade - Arts Week
Today at lunch time, all the overseas students had to wear their own country's traditional costume, because this week is arts week. So we had to get changed at tutor time and we started the mini parade during the lunch time. All the overseas students walked around the school and got donation money for Japan. We even got to go into the staffroom. We had a lot of fun and we hope that other students and staff found it interesting.
Welcome to our Visitors from Mishima
Today we welcome four Japanese students from Mishima to NPGHS. They are in New Plymouth until Saturday. These students are being hosted by some Yr 10 students' kiwi families, thank you to them. Among other things, they are here to learn English, do some sightseeing and eat "fish and chips". They are in our school on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. If you see them remember to say a friendly "hello"

Japan Earthquake
Our thoughts are with those affected by the tragic earthquake in Japan. We have Japanese students studying here at NPGHS and at this time our hearts are with you and your families. We can only imagine how hard it must be to be away from home at a time like this.
